The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and aerospace company Boeing have defended their oversight of the 737 Max aircraft, which has been involved in two crashes.
Boeing has unveiled software upgrades and more pilot training, while federal transportation officials promised better scrutiny during testimony on Capitol Hill.
