Emirates Airline on Thursday urged travellers to arrive early at the airport or opt for early check-in to avoid peak holiday rush as passenger traffic at DXB's Terminal 3 is set to cross over 1.1 million over the next 12 days.
This weekend will see a peak surge of close to 250,000 travellers flying Emirates, the airline said, advising flyers to reach the airport at least three hours before their flight departure.
Travellers can also avoid the holiday rush by checking in at the airport 24 hours prior to their flight, or up to 48 hours before departure online.
They can also speed up the process even further by utilising the airline's biometric path in Terminal 3 for a contactless journey.
Once checked in, passengers are advised to ensure they arrive at their boarding gate on time.
The airline confirmed they are fully prepared to manage the surge in holiday passenger traffic, with measures and protocols in place designed to enhance safety as customers move through Terminal 3.
