Germany has ordered the recall of 2.4 million Volkswagen cars affected by faulty emissions software at the start of next year. German Transport Minister Alexander Dobrindt said on Thursday, KBA - the country's automotive monitor- will oversee the recall. "The recall will begin at the start of 2016. The KBA will monitor the start of the recall action and its progress," he told reporters in Berlin. Volkswagen is under increasing pressure after it emerged last month it had installed masking software in diesel vehicles to mislead US regulators about toxic emissions levels.
