H.H. Sheikh Hamdan reviews Agentic AI transformation in private sector

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's Crown Prince and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, has approved a series of initiatives aimed at accelerating artificial intelligence adoption and strengthening Dubai’s digital economy.

During a meeting of the Higher Committee for Future Technology Development and the Digital Economy, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed plans to expand the use of Agentic AI across Dubai’s private sector.

The programme aims to support nearly 295,000 companies, develop 100 specialised AI assistants over the next two years, and help establish 50 new AI-focused companies.

Sheikh Hamdan said artificial intelligence is creating new economic opportunities and enhancing business competitiveness, as Dubai seeks to become a global leader in developing and deploying advanced AI solutions.

He also approved Dubai’s hosting of the 50th International Collegiate Programming Contest World Finals, one of the world’s largest student programming competitions.

The event will take place from November 16 to 20, 2026, bringing together 140 teams from more than 70 countries.

The committee also approved several strategic projects, including the Dubai Global Talent Network, designed to attract and connect international talent, and a new Digital Twin System for Dubai Police that will use advanced technology to enhance smart surveillance and support real-time decision-making.

The meeting reviewed progress on a number of digital economy initiatives, including a partnership with Amazon that has helped more than 105,000 small and medium-sized businesses expand their digital trade activities.

Updates were also presented on key projects including the Ignyte entrepreneurship platform, the Dubai AI Campus, the Dubai PropTech Hub, and Dubai Founders HQ, which has attracted more than 1,100 members and 500 startups within nine months of its launch.
