The UAE is looking to step up economic and trade cooperation with Egypt and the Czech Republic, the Emirates' economy minister has said. His Excellency Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri has called for promoting investment opportunities in Egypt especially in sectors including aviation, tourism and logistics. According to WAM, the building of the New Suez Canal, recent discoveries of huge gas fields and a significant skilled labour market are key areas driving partnerships among organisations in the two countries. The minister also noted that the Czech Republic is a promising investment destination due to its welcoming environment. Some 50,000 Czechs visit the UAE annually, while around 2,000 live and work in the country.
