The deadline for filing excise tax returns in the UAE has been extended by a month.

According to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA), May 17 is the new deadline for settling the total amount for March and April.

Applicants will have to file two separate returns for the two months.

The FTA’s latest decision takes into consideration the movement restrictions imposed on individuals and vehicles.

It’s also clarified that it will continue providing all its services remotely.
