Ras Al Khaimah has taken a bold step into the future of mobility with the successful trial flight of an electric flying vehicle.
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, witnessed the demonstration, conducted by China’s XPENG AEROHT, at Al Jazirah Aviation Club.
Sheikh Saud said the trial reflects Ras Al Khaimah’s commitment to adopting cutting-edge technologies that enhance quality of life and support a resilient, future-ready economy.
He also also oversaw the signing of an MoU between RAK Transport Authority and XPENG AEROHT, aimed at developing and deploying flying vehicle technologies for tourism, leisure and emergency services in the emirate.
