A rainstorm swept through southern Nepal, leaving at least 25 people dead and more than 400 others injured.
In a Tweet, Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli of Nepal said security forces have been alerted and that rescue teams were waiting for the weather to clear to reach affected villages.
Officials said the death toll is likely to increase, with the provincial government announcing 300,000 rupees ($2,725) in financial assistance for the families of each of the dead.
