An earthquake of 6.5-magnitude has struck the island of Samar in the Philippines on Tuesday.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

This comes just a day after a powerful earthquake struck the Philippines island of Luzon, killing at least 11 people.

Rescue efforts are ongoing as authorities fear dozens of people remain trapped under a collapsed building in the province of Pampanga.

An airport was seriously damaged and at least two buildings were destroyed.
