British Airways pilots vote in favour of strike

Pilots who fly for British Airways have taken a vote to strike for action following a dispute over salaries.

No date has been set yet for the strike, but it's aimed at making an impact over the peak summer holiday season.

The British Airline Pilots' Association (Balpa) said 93 per cent of its members had voted in favour of the industrial action.

A strike is expected to cause severe disruption, as Balpa represents about 90 per cent of the airline's pilots.

The carrier BA is attempting to block the action in court.
