Death toll from Texas shooting rampage rises to 22

Two people have died of their wounds in the Texas mass shooting, raising the death toll in the massacre to 22.

A 21-year-old Dallas resident is in police custody for the El Paso killings, with Texas Governor Greg Abbott claiming it was a hate crime.

In total, 31 people have been killed in back-to-back shootings during the weekend in El Paso and Dayton, Ohio.

US President Donald Trump, who is planning a visit to the stricken community, has blamed the internet and violent video games for fostering violence.
