Dozens of people are feared dead after the boat they were travelling on capsized off the coast of Tunisia.

Four initial survivors were rescued near the coastal town of Zarzis, with one later dying in hospital.

The survivors told the Tunisian coast guard that they were on board a boat that had set off from Libya, heading for Europe, along with dozens of other refugees, and that many had drowned.

Libya's west coast is one of the main departure points for African migrants aiming to reach Europe.
