Lesotho's First Lady has been charged with murder for her alleged links to the killing of Prime Minister's former wife.

Maesaiah Thabane, who had disappeared on January 10, surrendered herself to the police earlier on Tuesday.

Officials have "charged (her) with murder alongside eight others who are in Lesotho and South Africa".

Prime Minister Thomas Thabane has also been questioned about the murder.

Lipolelo Thabane was killed in 2017 as the couple were involved in bitter divorce proceedings.
