Philippines, India confirm first case of coronavirus

India on Thursday confirmed its first case of coronavirus in the southern state of Kerala.

The patient, who is a student of Wuhan University in China, is stable and in isolation at a hospital, the statement from the government said. 

Meanwhile, health officials in the Philippines said a 38-year-old Chinese woman, who arrived in the country from Wuhan, on January 21, has tested positive for the flu-like virus.
