An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale struck northwest of the Greek island of Crete on Wednesday.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the quake was recorded at a depth of 56 km between the islands of Crete and Kythera.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
