At least 40 people have been injured in a bomb attack at a police headquarters in Afghanistan.
A member of the Taliban drove a vehicle packed with explosives into the facility in northern city of Pul-e-Khumri.
Following the blast, armed Taliban militants entered the base and opened fire on security forces, with Afghan officials saying that one of the attackers was gunned down.
It's the latest in a number of recent attacks carried out by the terror group on Afghan police and security positions and comes despite the ongoing talks between Taliban leaders and US officials that are aimed at ending the war in the country.
