US to deploy troops to Saudi Arabia

The USA is set to deploy troops to Saudi Arabia.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has approved the deployment of American troops to the Kingdom in a bid to boost regional security and stability.

The agency quoted a Saudi Ministry of Defence official as saying that the move is based on joint cooperation efforts between the two countries.

It also seeks to "strengthen regional security and stability" and to "preserve peace".
