After winning a commanding majority, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is eager to honour his election promise of getting Brexit done.

"The PM has been very clear that we have a responsibility to deliver a better future for our country and that we must repay the public's trust by getting Brexit done," a source in Johnson's Downing Street official residence said.

Johnson will welcome on Monday 109 new Conservative lawmakers to parliament.

It's reported that his new government will start the process to allow Britain's exit from the EU by January 31 and secure a trade deal before the end of the year.

He is also set to boost public health service, education and policing.
