Up to 5,000 volunteers took part in the "Tarahum for Gaza" campaign across the UAE at the weekend, preparing 20,000 relief packages, and collecting 450 tonnes of essential aid material.

The third weekend of the campaign was held at Dubai's Festival Arena, Abu Dhabi's Etihad Arena and Sharjah's Al Bayt Mitwahid Center.

To date, "Tarahum for Gaza" has collected 1,250 tonnes of food, hygiene and medical relief materials and has prepared 58,000 relief packages for children and mothers, as well as food packages.

Supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent Authority (ERC) and the World Food Programme (WFP), and in coordination with the Ministry of Community Development, the campaign includes the participation of 20 charitable and humanitarian institutions in addition to national volunteering platforms.

Accredited charitable and humanitarian institutions in the UAE continue to receive in-kind and financial donations. Those wishing to volunteer can register to participate through the UAE’s official volunteer platforms.
