5.3-magnitude quake strikes southern Iran, felt in UAE

A 5.3 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale stuck southern Iran at 8:07 pm (UAE time) on Saturday.

This is according to the National Seismic Network of the UAE National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The tremor was felt in several areas of the UAE but did not have any effect on the country, the NCM said.
