The Abu Dhabi City Municipality is enhancing road safety around schools, as part of an overall plan to improve traffic movement. According to national news agency WAM, the scheme covers 98 schools across Abu Dhabi island and mainland. The project includes upgrading and improving exits, and roads surrounding school zones. The plan is to develop new infrastructure in schools, such as parking lots, traffic signs and road surface markings.
