A nine-year-old girl has been reunited with her family in less than hour after she was found by Ajman Police.

The child with special needs, who had lost her way in Ajman's Al Rashidiya area, was found by a safety patrol during a security beat.

"She was calmed down and taken to the City Comprehensive Police Station, where a social worker from Ajman's Social Support Centre came to take care of the child and communicate with her," said Colonel Ghaith Khalifa Al Kaabi, Head of the City Comprehensive Police Station.

"Within thirty minutes, and in coordination with the operations room, the police were able to find her family and inform them of the child’s presence at the police station. The child was handed over to them in perfect health in less than an hour after she went missing," he added.

Al Kaabi called on families to closely monitor children, especially those of determination, to avoid such incidents.
