Arab coalition disarms hundreds of landmines in Yemen

Arab coalition forces in Yemen have intensified operations to clear residential neighbourhoods, streets and markets of land mines planted by Houthi rebels. The militia, backed by the deposed president Ali Abdullah Saleh, planted the devices in villages along the southern provinces of Yemen. In a single month, there have been 100 deaths and 225 injuries as a result of the land mines being set off. Coalition forces have already removed and disarmed hundreds of explosive devices across the country.
