Arab coalition forces capture key area of Al Najd

NULL

The Saudi-led Arab coalition has captured the strategic area of Al Najd. This area links Aden and Taiz, both central to the fight against Houthi rebels. Houthi militia have been trying to take control of the area to cut off the coalition’s weapons as well as other supplies coming from Aden. Meanwhile, dozens of popular resistance groups advanced to the peak of Mount Sabr overlooking Taiz, with the aim of cutting off Houthi supplies. The legitimate Yemeni government and people’s resistance have been fighting Houthi rebels and forces loyal to deposed president Ali Abdullah Saleh since March of this year.
