The public in the UAE are being urged to continue to take regular COVID-19 PCR tests.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention says getting checked is particularly vital before family visits and meeting the elderly.
At the Ministry's weekly briefing, official spokesperson Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi stressed the importance of social responsibility, avoiding handshakes and other forms of physical greetings, while continuing to wear masks and maintaining social distancing.
Dr Gaithi highlighted the key role of community members in maintaining the country’s achievements during the crisis by following guidelines and preventive measures.
She also urged the public to rely on official sources for information on the pandemic and to avoid rumours and false news, adding that the country has adopted a clear and transparent approach to addressing COVID-19 by announcing updates on national media outlets and the official social media platforms of relevant authorities.
