Citizens and Expats welcome UAE soldiers

Men, women and children waved UAE flags and cheered the brave Emirati soldiers, as the first contingent arrived in the country at about 6 am this morning. After being replaced with a second team of soldiers to carry on the work in Yemen, under Operation Restoring Hope, the returning troops headed from from the border of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards Swaihan.A massive reception is expected to take place at about 12.30 pm today in Abu Dhabi which will include a military parade that will be attended by top UAE leaders, VIPs and officials. Meanwhile in Yemen, the internationally recognised government of president Abdrabu Mansur Hadi has told the United Nations that Houthi rebels are committing war crimes, by deliberately shelling civilian areas. Reports also suggest Houthi rebels are forcing dozens of teenagers to fight with them.
