The machine will allow scientists to monitor a patient's immune response to the virus in more detail.

The Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center, ADSCC, has acquired and installed an AED 3.6 million Helios Mass Cytometer, the only one of its kind in the Middle East.

It allows experts to quickly and accurately profile individual human cells so they can study and monitor a patient’s immune response to the virus.

Medical experts at the facility are hoping the cytometer will identify those most at risk early on and what vaccines may prove effective against the virus.
