Dubai Airports confirms Dubai-Heathrow flight cancellations

Dubai Airports has confirmed that eight outbound flights from Dubai International (DXB) to London Heathrow (LHR), along with one inbound flight from LHR to DXB, have been cancelled following the temporary closure of Heathrow Airport.

In a statement the airport says it is, "working with our airlines and service partners to minimise inconvenience to our guests.  Affected guests are advised to contact their airlines for the latest flight information and rebooking options."

Earlier on Friday Emirates Airline and Etihad Airways confirmed cancellations and diversions in their flight schedule due to the Heathrow closure. In an update on their official website, the Dubai carrier said flights EK001/002, EK029/030 and EK031/032 were cancelled on Friday, March 21.

In an update on Etihad's website, the UAE national carrier said flights - EY63 Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow, EY64 London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi, EY65 Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow and EY66 London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi - have been cancelled.
