Dubai Municipality has cleared the waste from New Year's Eve celebration venues across the city in record time.
The major cleanup operation was completed before 6:00 am on January 1 with the help of 2,241 workers, as well as 166 supervisors and 189 volunteers.
Teams from the municipality worked in partnership with private companies to leave the city spotless after the celebrations.
The authority also monitored the events accompanying the celebrations at 43 major locations, in order to ensure their compliance with health, hygiene and food safety standards.
