Dubai Police are looking to distribute 11,000 Iftar meals among labourers during the holy month of Ramadan.
The campaign is part of a joint effort and coordination with the delivery company, Talabat, to enhance security, spread awareness of adhering to laws and safety procedures in labour areas in the Emirate of Dubai.
Dubai Police stressed the campaign, which coincides with the holy month of Ramadan, promotes values of compassion, interdependence, and solidarity through a humanitarian action encouraged by religion: "offering food."
They authority added that the campaign is also a chance to educate labourers on their rights and duties, and ensure to keep the communication channels open to establish trust between the police and workers.
Dubai Police Volunteer Platform is encouraging people to come forward and help with the community initiative.
