Dubai Police are reminding motorists to be extra cautious while driving in foggy conditions.

It comes as dense fog continued to blanket parts of the country in recent days.

They are highlighting the importance of reducing speed, ensuring lane discipline and leaving a safe distance between vehicles.

Drivers are also advised to allow extra time for their journey and to check the weather forecast.

"Allow extra time for your journey and check your planned route. It's also advisable to wait for the fog to clear until visibility improves," said Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police.

He added that traffic patrols will be intensified, especially on the highways to ensure that the rules are being followed.
