That's according to aviation consultancy OAG's latest rankings, calculated on the basis of seat capacity.

London Heathrow stays in second place with 3.8 million seats while Istanbul is in third place with a 2 per cent increase in seats compared to last month.

Singapore Changi and Paris Charles de Gaulle airports rounded out the top five spots.

The airport in the top 10 for international flights with the biggest increase in seats is Frankfurt with 7 per cent compared to February 2023.

Doha saw its capacity decrease by 1 per cent compared to last month and is the only airport to have a drop in capacity in the Top 10.
