The traditional Eid Al Fitr cannon has been set up across five locations in Dubai.
Dubai Police are keeping the tradition alive in line with the COVID-19 precautionary measures.
Due to the pandemic, the firing of the cannons can be viewed only on TV as no one would be allowed to gather at the locations.
Cannons have been set up at Zabeel Grand Mosque, Al Salam Masjid in Al Barsha, Al Mamzar Street, the Burj Khalifa area, and the praying ground in Al Mankhool.
Traditionally, the shooting of cannons marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan and announces the start of Eid Al Fitr.
