France thanks UAE for helping evacuate its citizens from Afghanistan

France has thanked the UAE for helping evacuate its citizens from Afghanistan after the Taliban seized control of the country.

Florence Parly, French Minister of Armed Forces, commended the UAE's efforts during a phone call with Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs.

Al Bowardi emphasised the UAE's commitment to assisting its allies in efforts to ensure security and stability in the region.

The two ministers also discussed ways to strengthen defence cooperation between their nations.
