Dubai Media Office

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, officially opened Ain Dubai, the world’s largest and tallest observation wheel, on Thursday.

Sheikh Ahmed highlighted how the new addition to Dubai's stunning tourism landscape reflects the Emirate's aspiration to achieve the highest excellence in all sectors and spheres of life.

From a documentary looking at the work that went into making the observation wheel to checking out a passenger cabin, His Highness was given a complete overview of the new experience.

He also toured the exclusive hall reserved for VIP guests and its souvenir area.

The 48 passenger cabins, which provide visitors the perfect vantage point for a 360-degree view of Dubai, will be able to carry more than 1,750 people at one time. And, one complete rotation of the wheel will be completed in 38 minutes.

Ain Dubai's opening weekend promises to be spectacular, with a series of unique performances lined up, including a breathtaking light and drone show with fireworks at Ain Dubai Plaza.
