Dubai is stepping up its AI ambitions with the launch of the Dubai AI Academy, which aims to train 10,000 professionals in AI leadership and application.

The initiative was announced by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, during the Dubai AI Week.

It will offer certification and training in collaboration with leading institutions like Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, Udacity, and the Minerva Project.

Initial courses will include 'AI for Civil Service' and 'Leadership in the Age of AI', focusing on ethics, strategy and real-world AI use.

The Academy is part of the Dubai AI Campus at the DIFC Innovation Hub — the largest AI and tech cluster in the region. It supports Dubai’s wider goal of doubling AI’s impact on its economy and becoming a global AI leader.

The initiative also aligns with the broader DUB.AI strategy and DIFC’s 2030 plan to boost innovation and talent development across sectors.

By investing in large-scale AI education, Dubai aims to lead the global conversation on responsible and effective AI adoption.
