UAE President stresses need for dialogue between Russia, Ukraine

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has underscored the need to keep the dialogue between Russia and Ukraine open, during his meeting with Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg.

During the talks, Sheikh Mohamed also briefed the Russian President on the Ukrainian side's position on a number of issues.

Meanwhile, Putin also provided a detailed brief to Sheikh Mohamed on the situation at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and on Russia's efforts to maintain nuclear security.

The Russian leader also expressed Kremlin's appreciation for the UAE's efforts, noting that they are a testament to its readiness to support mediation efforts.
