His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has made special arrangements to distribute Eidiyah to children of needy families.

The Eidiyah, which is the tradition of giving cash to children during Eid, will be offered to those enrolled in social welfare programmes across all Emirates.

It'll be for children under the age of 18, the announcement added.

The move is part of efforts by the UAE leader to bring a smile on the faces of children during Eid.
