In keeping with the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the UAE has scaled up last year's '10 Million Meals' campaign, promising to support disadvantaged people with '100 Million Meals'.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, made the announcement on his official Twitter handle, calling on businessmen, companies, humanitarians and the public to donate to help those in need as the pandemic continues to impact millions across the globe.

Pegged as the biggest food drive in the region, the '100 Million Meals' campaign will help people in 20 countries across the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

It will deliver parcels of essential food items that enable families to prepare meals for one full month, with every AED 1 donated securing a meal.

The campaign reflects the true essence of the UAE’s society, built on tolerance, compassion and solidarity and pursues the country’s efforts to combat challenges facing communities globally.

It also aims to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to end hunger and achieve food security by 2030.

Donations can be made through the dedicated website, via SMS or through bank transfers. People can also dial 8004999 or email info@100MillionMeals.ae for more details.
