Lack of finance prevents UAE SMEs from being innovative

A lack of finance is preventing UAE SMEs from being innovative. A report by Beehive in collaboration with Thomson Reuters reveals that 51% of respondents have highlighted funding as problem when it comes to being creative and trans-formative. As the country marks Innovation Week the study also reveals that the majority of the country’s innovation is coming from taking existing ideas and making them better. A culture of Innovation within companies has also been pinpointed in the study as a challenge in the UAE.
