A man has been arrested for lying in the middle of a busy road in Dubai and holding up traffic.

The police said he's been charged with endangering his life and the lives of others.

A photo tweeted by the authority shows the man lying on an intersection in Deira's Al Muraqqabat area.

No further details were disclosed by the police but they've urged people to report such incidents through their app's 'Police Eye' service.

"According to Article 399 of the Federal Decree-Law No. 31 of 2021, anyone who deliberately commits an act that would endanger the life, health, and security of people, will be sentenced to imprisonment and a fine," Dubai Police said on Twitter.
