Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has warned of delays on key roads in the city as Gitex officially opens its doors at Dubai World Trade Centre on Monday.

Taking to their official social media handle, the RTA said traffic delays are expected on Al-Mustaqbal and 2nd Zabeel Rd.

Motorists have been advised to "leave early" and take "alternative routes... such as Sheikh Zayed Road, DIFC and Al Sukouk Street".

Gitex will continue until October 14.
