New paperless smart parking meters in Dubai

Soon, residents in the UAE will no longer need to place paper parking tickets on their dashboards in Dubai.

That's according to Osama Al Safi, Director of Parking at the Roads and Transport Authority, who said they will be launched smart parking meters in phases across the emirate. 

Al Safi explained that the process of paying for parking will be completely digital in the near future. 

He explains what the RTA's strategy is for the new smart meters.
