A barrierless paid parking system will be introduced at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif by January 1, 2025.

Parkin Company (Parkin), the largest provider of paid public parking services in Dubai, has signed a five-year agreement with Majid Al Futtaim Properties LLC to implement the new parking system at these three shopping malls.

Advanced cameras will automatically capture licence plates, tracking vehicles as they enter and exit, which is expected to significantly reduce congestion and wait times, especially during peak hours.

Importantly, parking fees at all three malls will remain the same. Customers will be notified of costs via SMS or through Parkin’s mobile app upon entry, and they can settle charges using the app or the website.

This seamless entry and exit experience is expected to ease mall access for more than 20 million cars annually across the three sites.

Under the latest agreement, Parkin will oversee the operation, management, and enforcement of the new systems for five years, including the installation and maintenance of the necessary technology.

Full implementation is set for January 1, 2025.
