New transport service to connect Sharjah and Muscat

WAM

A passenger transport service will soon connect the emirate of Sharjah with Oman's capital, Muscat.

Sharjah Executive Council has given its go-ahead for the service based on an agreement between the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority and Oman National Transport Company – Mwasalat.

Daily trips will run between Sharjah's Al Jubail Station and Al Azaiba Bus Station in Muscat.

The SEC also approved the launch of the 'Model Farmer's Guide', which aims to support Sharjah's vision of achieving food security and encourage community members to launch sustainable agricultural projects.

It will act as a reference for budding entrepreneurs and those interested in agricultural production.

The Council also approved a 50 per cent exemption on government agency fees for 102 pioneering projects funded by Sharjah SME (RUWAD) for a period of two years. This will be applicable to various types of economic activities across all cities and regions of the emirate.
