Doctors practising in the UAE without a licence could be fined as much as AED 2 million.
It's one section of a new draft law that has been approved by the Federal National Council (FNC).
It also states that doctors can only practice within the scope of the licence that's given to them.
The FNC says the legislation is aimed at protecting residents from illegal and harmful medical practices.
