One million smart meters to be installed in Dubai over the next 5 years

A total of one million smart meters are set to be installed in residences across Dubai over the next five years. DEWA have already put 100,000 in place, in an initiative that is part of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for the city to become the smartest in the world. Further discussion on how to enhance the use of energy efficient and renewable technologies will be held at the 5th Smart Grids and Smart Meters Summit, which will take place October 28-29.
