Road closures ahead of Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge

Watch out for a number of road closures in Dubai this weekend for the annual Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge.

From 6:15 am to 9:30 am on Saturday, February 24, motorists will not have access to Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street D54, heading to and from Expo City Dubai.

Tilal Al Ghaf and Remraam areas will also be affected as cyclists navigate the 35 km-long TotalEnergies Outride.

During the main event on Sunday, February 25, featuring a 94.1 km route, rolling road closures will be in place from 6:10 am until around 10:00 am.

Hessa Street, Al Asayel Street, Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Road, Sports City, Jumeirah Golf Estates, Al Barsha, Springs, JVC and Arabian Ranches are some of the areas that will be affected.

Here is the full breakdown of the road closures:

Saturday, February 24: 35 km TotalEnergies OUTRIDE

  • 6:15 am to 9:30 am - No access to Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street (D54) heading to/from Expo City Dubai.
  • Restricted and limited traffic flow at the traffic lights of Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan / Hessa Street.
  • Areas affected: Tilal Al Ghaf and Remraam.

Sunday, February 25: 94.1 km Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge

  • 6:10 am to 8:22 am - No access to Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street (D54) or the passing of the traffic circle Al Qudra Road / Umm Suqeim & D54.
    • Areas affected: Al Reem, Damac Hills, Damac Hills 2 Akoya, Mira, Mira Oasis, Town Square, Cherry Woods, Serena, Arabian Ranches 2, The Sustainable City, Al Waha, Layan.
  • 6:22 am to 8:22 am - No access to Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street (D54) or the passing of the traffic circle Al Qudra Road / Umm Suqeim & D54.
    • Areas affected: Global Village, The Villa, City Land Mall, Arabian Ranches.
  • 6:50 am to 8:40 am - No access to Hessa Street.
    • Areas affected: Studio City, Motor City.
  • 6:10 am to 9:50 am - No access to Hessa Street or D54.
    • Areas affected: Tilal Al Ghaf.
  • 7:25 am to 9:50 am - No access to Hessa Street
    • Areas affected: Sports City, Jumeirah Golf Estates, Al Barsha, Al Barsha South, Jumeirah Village Circle.
  • 7:00 am to 9:30 am - No access to Al Asayel Street (controlled exits, diverted route in place).
    • Areas affected: Springs, Jumeirah Park, Emirates Hills, Jumeirah Islands, JLT (DMCC), Meadows diversion.
