RTA bus drivers' behaviour and physical condition to be assessed by new smart system

RTA is implementing a new trial to monitor their drivers’ behavior and physical condition. A smart system has been installed into 50 buses that will monitor many things such as fatigue, speeding and distractions such as texting. Mousa Al Raeesi, Director of Transportation Systems, RTA tells ARN how this system will help ensure the safety of passengers.

The RTA will run this trial until the end of November and depending on the results they may install the smart system in all 1500 buses.
