Sharjah charity helps UAE cancer patients receive free treatment

Eighty-two cancer patients have received free treatment during the first half of this year, thanks to a Sharjah charity. The announcement was made by Dr Sawsan Al Madhi, director general of The Friends of Cancer Patients Society. Men and women of a variety of nationalities and ages who reside in the UAE have benefitted from the care provided. To date over 1,300 patients have been supported by the charity, which also looks to raise awareness of cancer, and the importance of early detection.
